Powderham Castle is located between Exeter and Dawlish, 6 miles south of Exeter and approximately 8 miles from the M5.

Leave at Junction 30 (Sandygate) and proceed towards Exeter, then joining the A379 in a southerly direction. Continue over the Countess Wear Roundabout, over the Swing Bridge to the next roundabout. Take the first exit left on the A379 signposted to Dawlish, then follow Powderham Castle brown tourist signs until specific Horse Trials signs take over.

ALL Event Traffic FROM EXETER - follow signs to Powderham Manor Gate entrance(4) - shown as WHITE GATE on the map

Visitors coming from DAWLISH - proceed to Kenton (2)where you will be directed to enter through the Main Castle Entrance

By Rail:

Main line Exeter St Davids or Exeter Central.
Local Starcross (2 miles) or Dawlish (5 miles).

By Bus: There is a good and frequent bus service from either the Exeter Bus Station  or Dawlish/Starcross to Kenton – Routes 85 and 85a. It is 10 minutes from Dawlish and 5 minutes from Starcross to the Castle entrance (frequency about every 15 minutes).
By Bike: From Exeter from the canal and Exe riverbank
By Boat: Catch the Starcross Ferry at Exmouth
